Nutcracker for Kids by the Pacific Symphony Orchestra

The moment the Thanksgiving dinner mess has been cleaned, our home is filled with the magical sounds of Tchaikovsky. The children know this is the sign-it is time to begin celebrating the Christmas season.

This Saturday, December 08, the Pacific Symphony Orchestra will perform the Nutcracker for Kids. This wonderful concert is only 45 minutes with a brief performance by the Festival Ballet Theater.

We’ve attended this concert multiple times and have never been let down. Before or after the concert (depending on which show you attend), the children will have an opportunity to view the instruments up front and meet the musicians. The finale is a Christmas sing-a-long, which very well may be my children’s favorite part or the show.

Disneyland during the Holidays

Celebrating the Holidays with the Happiest Place on Earth

Last night, we spent a beautiful evening at the happiest place on earth. While I realize that everyone is aware of Disneyland, it is a must for your holiday to do list. If you have never been to Disneyland during the holidays, you will be absolutely blown away when you see Cinderella's Castle and It's a Small World.
New this year is Cars Land, where Radiator Springs is decked out in Christmas Trees made of tires.

If Disney is not in your holiday budget, then just take a walk around Downtown Disney as it is quite beautiful too. The holiday magic of Disney is not something you will want to miss. You may even make it a tradition.
